Overview

Annapurna Panorama trek, also known as Annapurna Poon Hill trek, is one of the finest short treks in the Annapurna region. This introductory trekking in Annapurna unfolds dramatic panoramic profiles of some of the beautiful and highest mountains in the Annapurna region.
We follow one of the well-trodden routes through lush forest and dramatic Himalayan Handsome Magar Village at Ulleri and Ghorepani while exploring the diverse ethnic groups of Ghandruk Village. Due to the incredible altitudinal range and temperate mix of climate on the background of the Himalayas the Annapurna Poon Hill hiking is a naturalist’s paradise.
The panoramic views of Dhaulagiri (8167m), Annapurna I (8091m), Machhapuchhre (6993m), Manaslu (8157m) and other numerous mountains along the world’s deepest Kali Gandaki gorge from Poon Hill are majestic on your trip to Annapurna panorama. This short and introductory trek is suitable for families with children which we have organized for many family hiking trips each year. This Poonhill Panorama trek can be further customized to combine Phedi or continue the hike to Annapurna Base camp.

"An easy-going family-style adventure, gently brings you from the world's deepest valley to the widely loved Poon Hill, looking out upon the massive Annapurna range. whether you are traveling with kids, or are looking for a relaxing way to experience the Himalayas without strenuous hiking, this trek will be right up your alley!"

Moreover, visiting Boudhanath Stupa, one of the largest stupas on earth will amaze you. To experience another remarkable part of the sightseeing tour, we will visit Pashupatinath Temple, an important Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. We will then relax at the hotel for the remaining part of the day. Overnight at hotel

We will depart from Kathmandu enjoying a scenic drive to Pokhara which takes approximately6/7 hours. On the following day, we will get to see cultivated terraced fields, rocky gorges, rivers, green valleys and typical rustic life of Nepal. Pokhara also popular as a natural paradise will present an astonishing view of the Himalayas including Manaslu, Dhaulagiri, Machhapuchhre, as well as the five mountains of Annapurna. In Pokhara, we will stay at the hotel in the close to a beautiful lake to let you enjoy the experience of boating in stunning Phewa Lake accompanied by the vast panorama of Himalaya range, lush hills and more. Overnight at hotel.

Taking approximately five hours we will trek to Ulleri after driving to Nayapul (42 km) via a private vehicle today. This is the first day of our trek and we will have short and easy walk. Nayapool is our starting and ending point of the trek. We begin our trek through passing the well-off village named Birethanti where setting on the union point of the Burundi and Modi River. Here, we will notice a number of tea houses and shops. Walking all the way through bamboo woods, we will also walk passing a large cascade. After lunch, we cross the Bhurungdi Khola (river) via a bridge to the village of Tikhedhunga. Then following Ulleri Hill with thousands of steps and boulders that continually go upward will really prove a test of our stamina. We reach Ulleri by late afternoon. Overnight in Ulleri.

After breakfast, we ascend to the Ghorepani village. The name Ghorepani in Nepali means ‘horse-water’ due to it being an important campsite for traders before it became a trekker's stop. Ghorepani is an interesting place with small shops and stalls for selling local products and crafts. The town has two parts: one in a saddle and the other a few hundred feet lower. We stop at the higher part of the Ghorepani village that offers panoramic views of the surrounding mountains including Annapurna South and Nilgiri mountains. Since Ghorepani lies quite higher than our previous stop, we begin to feel the chilly weather, especially in the evenings. Overnight in Ghorepani.

To catch the sunrise over the Himalayas, we make an early morning climb along the steep trail to the viewpoint of Poon Hill (3,210m/10,529ft), the most highlight destination of our entire trek. It is also a great viewpoint to enjoy the amazing views of Mustang, Pokhara and more than 20 of the highest mountains including the close-up views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges. The snowy peaks of the high mountains loom above and around us glowing in the morning light. After taking photographs and having some coffee or tea or hot chocolate, we return back to Guesthouse. After breakfast, we head east and climb a nearby ridge. We descend through rhododendron forests, pass by spectacular waterfalls along the way and reach Tadapani to spend the night.

From Tadapani, we make a steep descent through the dense and dark forest. This part of the trek will be through a thick forest of old rhododendron trees. When the rhododendron trees are in bloom, these forests actually turn into amazing gardens. By afternoon following day, we also get to enjoy cherry blossoms in bloom on the slopes on the other side of the ravine. After trekking some more minutes, we enter the village of Ghandruk, a slope settlement with stone houses mostly inhabited by the Gurung people. Along with enjoying the stunningly close-up towering views of Fishtail, Annapurna South, and Hiunchuli mountains, we also acquaint ourselves with the simple but rich cultural traditions of the Gurung people. upon arrival in Ghandruk-we took day sight in the entire village that chances to explore their traditional life/cultural, monument and as well as a local museum. then our representative Transport will Drive back to Pokhara.
